Usain Bolt and Jose Mourinho team up to take on Diego Maradona in icons' game
USAIN BOLT finally got to live out his dream as a Manchester United player after being coached by Jose Mourinho in the Hublot Match of Friendship. Jamaica’s legendary sprint king got the chance to put on his boots and take to the pitch with a number of football greats under the watchful eye of the Special One. Bolt worked up a sweat alongside the likes of legends Marcel Desailly, Patrick Kluivert and, uh, Damien Duff in front of a packed house in the Swiss city of Basel. But it was victory for the Olympic icon and United chief Mourinho, with their side narrowly edging out Diego Maradona’s men on the day. Argentina’s favourite son was blessed with a number of top talents including Roberto Carlos, David Trezeguet, Marco Materazzi and Hernan Crespo. But it may have been the presence of FIFA president Gianni Infantino beside him which led to the disaster on the field. Bolt admitted he was over the moon with his performance, saying: “For me it was wonderful. You can see their skills and it was a fun time, I’m happy to be here. “It’s not easy! It’s all about movement but it was fun, the start of something great.” Mourinho added: “When I listen to him speaking about football, I thought it was more a funny thing, a kid’s desire, a kid’s dream but I think not at all. Maybe football lost a talent to athletics.”
