Over one million Iranian children and teenagers, together with their parents visited the third Tehran Game Expo last week, from the 13th to the 17th of August.
The exhibition was a good opportunity for hundreds of Iranian game publishers, distributors, developers, service providers and digital commerce professionals to display their latest products and services to the visitors.
Nowadays, everyone at home and on the streets have at least one or two digital games on their cell phone, tablet, PC, laptop, TV, or other gaming devices like Xbox or Play Station.
The game industry is currently among the most lucrative industries as millions of IT professionals in the world are directly and indirectly being involved. The cultural aspects of the games also stress the importance of the industry.
In recent years, Iran tried to invest in and back digital game development in the country.
Thousands of people have been trained; organizations, institutes, and companies have also been founded to expedite the development of the industry to the point that Iranian game developers are carving out their niche on the world game markets.
Companies and individuals active in the game industry believe that they need aggressive investments as well as strong legal support to gain power in the world market.
