Arrogant Theresa May Livid At What Trump Did During Gala She Threw In His Honor.
After throwing a lavish gala in his honor, British PM Theresa May was seething when she discovered what U.S. President Donald Trump did in the middle of the extravagant dinner — and it’s exactly why he was elected.
Regardless of what President Donald Trump says or does, the perpetually-offended left is prepared to censure and protest. Unbelievably, each time they exude their exaggerated outrage, Trump’s approval rate rises, proving that they are still oblivious to the reason he was elected in the first place.
Further driving their supporters toward boarding the Trump train, politically correct politicians continue to attack the U.S. President, blind to anything but their own hatred. Ironically, they’re unwittingly playing right into President Trump’s hands.
For weeks, liberals have been hysterically protesting the arrival of President Donald Trump in the UK. Although she declined to cancel the controversial visit, British Prime Minister Theresa May has been a formidable critic of Trump’s policies, showcasing the evolution of her increasingly liberal agenda.
Playing the polite and civilized Briton, May gritted her teeth and hosted a lavish gala at Blenheim Palace on Thursday evening. Unfortunately for her, the British Prime Minister’s wining and dining wasn’t enough to sway President Trump to abandon the principles that Americans elected him to enact.
While schmoozing President Donald Trump at Blenheim Palace, avid Trump-critic Prime Minister Theresa May was irked to learn that he had issued fiery criticism of her liberal policies, which broke right in the middle of the extravagant gala she threw in his honor, Politico reports. Trump not only blasted May’s weak Brexit strategy, he also threatened to withdraw the pending US trade deal, pointing to the prime minister’s terrible foreign policy, according to his interview with The Sun.
Mr Trump said: “If they do a deal like that, we would be dealing with the European Union instead of dealing with the UK, so it will probably kill the deal.
May’s subdued anger came to light after a journalist interrupted the dismissal of a press meet to ask a blatantly provocative question. Expectedly, when asked if he “regrets” his comments in his recent interview with The Sun, Trump gives a sly smirk as he prudently shakes his head.
Trump told The Sun that while he supports a strong relationship with the UK, he isn’t willing to deal with the “unfair” European Union. He added that if May continues, then a deal with the U.S. is out of the question.
He explained: “We have enough difficulty with the European Union. We are cracking down right now on the European Union because they have not treated the United States fairly on trading. No, if they do that I would say that that would probably end a major trade relationship with the United States.”
He added: “I would have done it much differently. I actually told Theresa May how to do it but she didn’t agree, she didn’t listen to me. She wanted to go a different route. I would actually say that she probably went the opposite way. And that is fine. She should negotiate the best way she knows how. But it is too bad what is going on.”
When asked if he is willing to stop negotiations with the UK, Trump acknowledged that he would “absolutely” back out of the deal. Summoning his business acumen, he explained that “deals that take too long are never good ones.” He further chastised May for implementing a deal that her citizens didn’t want.
The deal she is striking is a much different deal than the one the people voted on. It was not the deal that was in the referendum. I have just been hearing this over the last three days. I know they have had a lot of resignations. So a lot of people don’t like it.”
Of course, Trump isn’t only facing criticism from Prime Minister Theresa May. London’s Muslim Mayor Sadiq Khan has repeatedly attacked the U.S. President for his politically incorrect demeanor and policies.
On Thursday, Trump blasted Khan for doing “a terrible job” when it comes to London’s skyrocketing crime and terrorism. He also slammed the European governments for allowing millions of migrants to spill into the continent.
